
Google Grants helps over 4.000 entities to promote their web sites for free with advertising through Adwords. Sites like UNICEF use it and thus have achieved 43% more sales. All nonprofit organizations can access this program but first must meet certain legal requirements and comply with Google guidelines.
The legal requirements are defined by the country where the organization is registered. In Spain, organizations must be nonprofit entities registered as such with the authorities and allocate most of their assets to the projects of social interest.

Stay out of the Google Grants program:
- Web sites that use Adsense.
- Web sites are only a portal or directory.
- Web sites for consumer credit counseling.
- Web sites promoting or selling illegal or harmful activity.
- Sites seeking donations related to real estate, yacht or car.
- Web sites that use religion, or sexual orientation as a factor in hiring or to serve specific demographic groups.
- Web sites belonging to groups that have a primarily political role, as political pressure, expert committees and special interests.
- Web sites whose main objective is to sell goods, or products or services that generate more than 50% of business profits earned.
- Web sites that offer programs that require registration as a member or providing benefits only to its members, as clubs, sports clubs, alumn associations, Network, etc..

Once the application is accepted Google Grants requests and enforces strict compliance with the following guidelines:
- The key words used must be relevant.
- The maximum offer (cpc) permitted for any campaign is 1$.
- The ads must be based on the objectives of the organization and should not be commercial.
- The head of the campaign must respond to all emails that the team Google send.
- It is essential that the beneficiaries participating in the program and manage accounts AdWords actively.
